Beach Living
Just about a month ago, my dad, who is in the golf industry, got a job offer in the city of Vero Beach. As one might guess, with the word 'beach' in the name, it's not in Utah. Not anywhere near, in fact, but in Florida. Vero Beach is about an hour and forty minutes outside Orlando, and about three minutes away from the nearest beach, no matter where we get a house.
We'd be moving at the the end of the school year. When he accepted the job, I was really excited, but also quite nervous. First off, I have lived in Florida before, up in Jacksonville (which is also on the map up above). I'm thrilled about the warm weather, new friends, beach, Disney, and year-round soccer. My new high school is very large and pretty, and most of it is outdoors.
This school year, and especially fourth quarter, is moving by especially fast. I feel like I just need to slow it down, because my good friend is leaving to go to Germany in May and I won't see her for a while after that, until after I move. All these dates are just creeping up so fast I can hardly believe it. This will easily be the hardest summer (mentally) that I remember. Nevertheless, I am so excited for all the new opportunities.
