Some people say that authors write only write about things that they know
I believe that this is a false statement, yes many authors write about real things that happened to them but that is an autobiography, that's one genre. Then there are non-fiction but that is just subjects researched. But people like J.K. Rowling create whole worlds that they've never lived in and no one has ever thought about it.
Can people write about things they have never experienced, but know a lot about it?
Well yeah i believe that people can write about things they know about but haven't experienced. Like some kid could write about a party she's never been too but she knows a lot about it. These people would not be able to give a very good first account on something but they have the general gist of it, it does say they know a lot about it.

October 13/14
1. Today I read 'The Dragon Heir' and it is written by Cindy Williams Chima.
2. I read about 15 pages and I normally read that amount.
3. One thing that had surprised me when reading this book is how easily I got lost into the book.
4. I would like to ask the author where she makes all this story up, the way that characters in the last book aren't main characters in the next yet they play a big part in the story and you still see them make appearances.
5.The author's style is a a first person, serious, and just interesting.
6. It's obvious the author is in make believe because her whole story is made with the idea that wizards and warriors that fight to the death for entertainment live among us.

October 9/10
1.The text I was reading was written by Jeff Kinney, the write of Diary of A Wimpy kid. He wrote about a kid that's going back to school and he doesn't have a best friend.
2.When reading my mind was full of imagination, picturing all of the things the book describes.
3. I read 20 pages, this was normal for me in the time period we were given.
4. This text is similar to all of the books before this one, kind of repetitive if you ask me.
5. I would recommend this text to 5-10 year olds, it's really easy and kids love it.

1. The text I read today was written by David Almond And it was about how the character name Michael moved into this new place that he was looking for and Than all his family started to get sick and he went to the garage and saw something.
2. While reading today, my mind was concentrated on what will happened next, It was a good book. '
3. I read from page 1 to 30 and this was interesting.
4. This text is similar to a normal book not to big and not to small.
5. This text has a connection to my life because I see things all the time and I don't know if its imagination or its for real.
6. I would recommend this text to people that are good readers and have good eye site.

October 6/7
1. The text I read today was written by Norman Maclean and it was about fishing.
2. While reading today, my mind was everywhere but I was focused on the book it was weird.
3. I read to 1 to 10 and this was because the pages took to long to read there was a lot of text.
4. When I read silently, I read better and I have to be listening to music too.
5. I prefer to read when Its quite and I'm listening to music.
6. Something that helps me focus on what i'm reading is music and I have to be comfortable.

Q2 reflection
I think I did a little better because I try to turn more work. I did meet my goal because my goal was to turn in more work.My goals for Quarter 3 to do most of my ISN keep up with my writing journal and to turn in more and do more work in science Im going to check canvas and try to keep up with the class. I like when teachers give us notes and project with group I think that makes the class interesting and easy and you actually pain attention to the class.I don't like is when teachers call on when you don't raise you feel embarrassing.
